Changes for 2008-2009._
The Winter Season 2007-2008 was characterised by fluctuations in attendance. The October and January meetings were so poorly attended that the viability of the Section was put in question but the November, March and Christmas Dinner gatherings were much better supported. It has been decided to move the meetings to later in the month in the hope that a later start in October and moving the January meeting away from Chritmas will improve matters in 2008-2009.
Meetings will now be held on the 3rd. Wednesday of the month from October to March.
First Meeting-Members' Night 15th. October 2008. was quite well attended with some welcome new faces! Colin Chestnutt gave an excellent account of his cruise to Scotland and Alan took members through the saga of getting to and back from Rungsted!
November 19th. Mark Reddington, former Commodore of Bartley Sailing Club, will talk on the "Trials and Treats" of sharing a boat in Greece.
December 17th Christmas Meal. Menu and prices to follow.
Wednesday 21st. January 2009. Roger Booth will give a presentation entitled "3 Seasons-Out to the Med.-the Eastern Med-return via N.Africa". Put this in your new year diaries.
