Kent Section Forthcoming Events

The Kent Section programme for 2009 is as follows:

Thursday 8th January 2009.  'Beyond the Suez Canal’- Paul and Rachel Chandler’s adventures on board Lynn Rival this year, as they head eastwards on the Vasco de Gama rally.  For their blog see http://blog.mailasail.com/lynnrival.

Thursday 12th February 2009.  ‘The History of Time’ - David Rooney, the Curator of Time at the Royal Greenwich Observatory.

Thursday 12th March 2009.  Jimmy Cornell will be telling us of his Passion for the Sea.

Thursday 9th April 2009.  The ups and downs of sailing from France to Greece by Julian & Vanessa Dussek

We meet at the Early Bird, a pub at Grove Green, adjacent to Tesco’s, that is exactly one mile from Junction 7 of the M20 (tel 01622 734237).  (www.shepherdneame.co.uk – for a map). on the 2nd Thursday of each month.  I hope that it suits you?  If you plan to attend please let me know in good time.

Drinks and reasonably priced meals are available at the bar or in the restaurant area but if you would like to eat then please order your meal in advance, by telephone, to prevent undue delays holding up proceedings.
