Help for Administrators

The software that runs MyCA and the Forums is what is known as Open Source. It has been developed by enthusiasts and made freely available on the web for others, like us, to use. The main MyCA pages use a Content Management System called Drupal and the Forums use software called phpBB. Free it may be, but finding out how to make the software do what we want has involved a very steep learning curve. We have discovered a great deal yet we know we are barely above the lower slopes, so complex is the software.

The purpose of this page is to provide a repository for the knowledge we have gained so that we can share it with each other and refer back to it when we forget what we learned last week, last month or last year - which we frequently do! In the spirit of Open Source it is open to all who have an interest in how this site works.
